The races and classes are very true to the D&D universe. Along the character development you can cross class into other classes. So you could start with a fighter and take levels in mage. There are many combinations available, although you want to be careful as the difficulty of the game changes depending on what you choose.

Do not be afraid of mistakes. If we learn from them, mistakes can be one of the most useful tools for personal development. This does not mean you should try to make mistakes, but rather you shouldn't let the fear of mistakes keep you from reaching your goals.
